Yes. Your rate covers the entire estate, all meals prepared by Chef Angelica, your on-site guide Felipe, all water sport equipment, and daily housekeeping. The only extras are the add-on activities and experiences listed above.

The base rate covers up to 8 guests. Each additional guest is $300/night, up to a maximum of 18.

Some of the best trips at Tumbo are smaller groups — a couple of families, a few friends, even honeymooners who want the whole place to themselves. The base rate stays the same regardless of group size, which means smaller groups get even more space, more privacy, and more of Felipe and Angelica's attention. You still get the full estate, the full chef experience, and the full run of everything. Fewer people just means more waves, more hammock time, and more ceviche for you.

Fly into San José (SJO), then take a short domestic flight to Puerto Jiménez — new direct flights are launching in 2026 and cut travel time significantly. From there, you have two options. Felipe can pick you up by boat for a scenic ride down the coastline to the property — it's one of the best ways to arrive and your first taste of the Osa from the water. Or the team will coordinate a car transfer for the 45-minute drive through the jungle to Tumbo. Either way, your arrival is taken care of before you land.

December through April is dry season — sunny skies and calm conditions. May through October is green season — lush jungle, fewer visitors, the best surf swells, and lower rates. There's no bad time. It depends on what you're looking for.

Absolutely. Angelica tailors every meal to your group's needs — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies, picky kids, all of it. Just let us know in advance and she'll handle the rest.
