A Surf & Wellness Retreat in Cabo Matapalo, Osa Peninsula
August 9–16, 2026 · 12 Spots
Wild Osa is a surf and wellness retreat rooted in the raw beauty of the Osa Peninsula — designed for those who seek uncrowded waves, vibrant nourishment, daily movement, and deep connection with the sea.
Held at Tumbo Resort in Cabo Matapalo during peak whale season, this is a week of surf sessions, ocean adventures, boat rides, yoga and stretching, sound healing, and meals that support the body to live fully and well.
The Place
We'll gather August 9–16, 2026, in Cabo Matapalo, at the southern edge of the Osa Peninsula, where rainforest meets open ocean, and life moves at its own slow, wild pace. Our home for the week is Tumbo Resort, a private beachfront property in front of Pan Dulce, with a familiar, intimate feel — comfortable rooms, open-air spaces, and the kind of barefoot ease that makes you settle in quickly. Just across the peninsula lies the Golfo Dulce, whose warm, protected waters become a nursery for humpback whales in August. It's one of the rare times of year when mothers and their calves can be seen playing and moving through the gulf.

The Wild Osa Promise
Wake up and move your body before the sun gets high. Stretch. Breathe. Prepare for the water. Paddle out. Fall. Try again. Catch the wave that shifts your whole day. Let the ocean reset you. Let the jungle steady you. Walk the trails. Feel your feet on the earth. Eat food that revives you. Chase the swell when it lines up. Ride long walls when the point turns on. Head out across the gulf and meet whales and dolphins in their own rhythm. Care for the whole system. Move. Rest. Listen. Recover. Live close to the elements. Strong in the body. Clear in the mind. Fully in the water.
